Moodboard

This is the moodboard we have made for our film silent night. It investigates the different key concepts we are using ot make up our film.

We had five main concepts which were fear, music, a twisted genre, christmas and fantasy.

We had fear as a key concept as this is the main concept that links the horror genre between various films. the music is also important as this would help us emphasise fear and help us show that the film is set at christmas. the images on the moodboard help show this as we have a monster which would scare anyone who saw it and a picture of a frihtened child.

Christmas is an important theme to show in our fil as it is when it is set. the name of our film "silent night" links well to this and the moodboard has a christmas theme throught with holly and christmas lights.

the twisted concept is aso important as we are twisting the usual nice character of santa clause into comething evil, this is shown on the moodboard with a picture of him with an evil facial expression.

fantasy is another important concept shown in the moodboard with refrences to films like Donnie Darko and Pans Labrynth which have given us great inspiration into creating a fantasy and dreamike horror experience.

the music is key to tie together the whole feel of our film. we are using the song santa claus is coming to town in various parts of the film. sometimes it will be played normally but as the horror develops it will slow down and get creepier with the killer eventually humming it to his victims.

Overall i think the moodboard is of high quality and use many words and picture to help show what we want our film to acheive.
